I went to Texas Roadhouse for the first time while I was up in Logan. I had the ribs (I ordered a full rack so I could have leftovers. Yeah, baby.) and they were delicious. However, I had something happen for the first time ever. My dad offered to let me try his meal, which was filet medallions with a portobello mushroom gravy, and for the first time ever, I regretted what I ordered, and wished I had ordered what he was having. I definitely have to go back to that restaurant soon just to order that meal. (Plus, of course, the rolls were heavenly. I'm pretty sure I had five. And the mashed potatoes. And the vegetables. Be still my beating heart.)

Since when did I become a "ma'am"? I have been ma'amed three times this week. Have I really grown that many wrinkles overnight? Maybe I should actually start doing my hair and putting makeup on. Do you mind being called ma'am? It kind of bugs me. (P.S. I just looked up the definition of ma'am, and it says in Britain it's a term used in addressing the queen or a royal princess. Maybe I should change my mind about ma'am...)

I finished reading Mockingjay (book three of The Hunger Games series) yesterday (it's amazing what you can get done when you don't have a computer!) I liked the ending and I'm really glad I read it. (Some people said they didn't like the ending, and a few people even told my mom to stop reading at book one because the last two books weren't worth it.)

I am in a serious dessert mood. Tell me - if calories, price, and effort didn't matter, what dessert would you eat right now? I'm wavering between an Oreo cheesecake, a banana rum cheesecake (to.die.for.), and these brownies. Please, give me links if you have a dessert recipe that you can't live without.

Loved all three book of the Hunger Games series. I couldn't believe she had Prim die--that was sad!
Texas Roadhouse rolls are amazing.
I have not jumped on the Hunger Games bandwagon.
OK, I am so hungry now. I have heard good things about Texas Roadhouse. Mmmmmm. Maybe I'll have to stop by next time I'm in St. George.
I just made Ghirardelli caramel turtle brownies (from a box mix). I added a cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips to the batter and they are SOOOOO good.
I love Texas Roadhouse!
I would love to have some type of Peanut Butter pie~
I finished MockingJay not to long ago. I really liked the book, but honestly was a little disapointed with the turn of events at the end. But I'm glad it ended the way it did.
Texas Roadhouse is wonderful! Endless rolls with cinnamon butter. Mmm...
I would eat a whole banana cream pie from Marie Callender's.
Texas Roadhouse is a favorite here as well - I always eat too many rolls!
Right now all desserts sound good, I would not turn anything away :)
Love Texas Roadhouse, Mockingjay (even if the ending was a little rushed), and would kill for some Oreo cheesecake. Okay, not kill, but it would be nice... or brownies... or any chocolate.... can you tell I'm PMSing? ;)
Now I'm going to have to try Texas roadhouse. And this isn't a recipe, but when I'm really craving dessert, I love Chris' Outrageous chocolate cake at the cheesecake factory-- it has cake, cheesecake, mousse, etc. all layered into one slice of deliciousness.
So I read your post yesterday but I was in the middle of Mockingjay so I decided to wait until today to comment since I am done with the book now. I thought that the ending was well done. I would have done the exact same thing in her place (with the presidents) and I saw it coming and would have been disappointed if it had gone any other way. I thought it was a really awesome trilogy of books and can't believe that I actually like something that a bunch of other woman like too. That never happens!!
It took me a little while after having finished Mockingjay to decide how I felt about it. I was sad for some things, but the ending felt like it worked. It made sense I think.
If calories didn't matter---I would eat an entire slice of the Great Wall of Chocolate from PF Changs just myself. It's the type of dessert I feel like I have to share---but it's so good I really don't want to.
Texas Roadhouse is pretty much a weekly occurance with us.
And my dessert would HAVE to be Tiraimisu from Olive Garden!
Love Texas Roadhouse. One of my friends used to waitress there and would bring me the leftover rolls - yummo! Anything chocolate works for dessert:)
I love Texas Roadhouse! You are deprived my friendly, completely and utterly deprived!
I'm hungry now.
Mockingjay was AMAZING. And I loved that the ending felt real to me.
I am all about pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. But I'm trying a new muffin recipe tomorrow: Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins. I'll let you know how it goes. =)
I know nothing about the restaurant or the books, but the picture of that cookie/brownie dessert looks AWESOME!! Totally on my list of things to try.
We have a Texas here (Laura used to work there) and we love it. Caleb asks to go there all the time for rolls and white dip :) I could totally go for pumpkin cheesecake (best bites has an amazing one) or rocky road brownies (on my site) I have had the first 2 books sitting on my shelf for about a year and haven't started them yet.
Well . . . I already had leftover apple crisp for breakfast. At this very moment I could go for some Swedish Rosette cookies.
Oh, and I loved Mockingjay. It's interesting to me that it seems like more of the 2nd wave of readers are liking it than of the very 1st ones to finish it--maybe the first ones to finish had stronger ideas of how it should go. I don't know.
