Christian and I got the ball rolling on refinancing our house today. Our interest rate is now so much lower than it was when we purchased this house two years ago - we will be saving over $200 a month on our mortgage, and we will end up saving $70,000 in interest over the course of the mortgage. We are ecstatic! We didn't even think we
could refinance because of the type of loan we had, but we decided to call and ask anyway. We are so glad we did. If you own your home and haven't refinanced lately, look into it. It is SO worth it.

My boys came into the house yesterday and said, "We lowered the jump rope into the sewer line just now, and now there's
throw up on the end." I said, "Uh, boys. That's not throw up. It's
so much worse." They promptly dropped the jump rope, I made them wash and disinfect their hands, and the jump rope went into the garbage.
I don't think the boys will be lowering anything else into the sewer line anytime soon.

Saving $ is awesome.
Having your boys find the sewer line, not so awesome.
I would have thrown the jump rope away also !
Ew. Boys.
Ewww, don't you just love boys? I never did stuff like that when I was a kid (never crossed my mind). Awesome on refinancing!
What is your rate now and what type of loan do you have?? How much did it cost to refinance? Sorry for the nosy questions. We're trying to figure out how to save money, too.
The jump rope story is awesome. Kids!
I need to check into this whole refinance thing.
I think my dogs found your jumprope!
Ewww. I can't remember what else was in the post because I have some disturbing visual images of a jump rope...
Congratulations on the refinancing - that's awesome! Also, on trashing the jump rope, ew!
We just refinanced recently too!
Sometimes I wish that I had a very large vat of hand sanitizer for situations just like that.
Awesome to save so much money! I saw 15 year rates down in the 3.75% range. Yowza!
And Yowza for the opposite reason on the jump rope!
Yuck! LOL. At least they TOLD you, so you could disinfect them and chuck the jump rope. Imagine if they didn't mention it!
Yay on the refi!
Ah, boys . . .
Yay! (And yuck.) :)
Blech!
Stupid, stupid interest rates! We bought when it was a blasted 6.5%! By the time it was super low, lay offs had already started happening every few months at Louie's job, so we didn't dare refinance. We also would have saved $200 a month - which would have helped a TON.
Anyway - glad YOU could get in on that.
And the sewer line thing is SOOOOOOO gross. Hilariously so.
I love being able to save money! We just refinanced our home and saved ourselves $100/month!
And the whole jump rope bit...EWWW!GROSS!GACK!
How did they get access to the sewer line? Ew!
We are hopefully refinancing in Nov. Looking to save around 600/mo!
So awesome and then so gross!
We've thought about refinancing but we have a cool loan that has some specifics that we don't want to change so we haven't.
And EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
Oh that is nasty!
thats AWESOME about your house!
and as far as the other story... I think I threw up in my mouth a little. hahahaha. gotta love how curious boys are. :)
